Processing Your Aid
Review and Accept Your Financial Aid Offer
All students are sent financial aid offer letters via U.S. mail or their official Texas A&M email account. The financial aid offer will include all eligible financial aid options, based on available funds. State aid programs are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.- Read the financial aid offer letter carefully before accepting or declining individual offers.
- Review the estimated Cost of Attendance to help plan how much aid you will need.
- Review the Types of Aid and Maintaining Eligibility to understand other factors that may affect your financial aid.
- To view and process your aid go to the Howdy Portal and login using your Texas A&M Net ID.
- Access the Financial Aid Portal through the Scholarships & Financial Aid channel on the My Finances tab.
- On the Awards page, click on Begin Processing to reduce, accept, or decline each award.
Refunds
Accepted financial aid will disburse to the student’s billing account 10 days prior to the first day of class. Any aid remaining after paying the tuition bill in full will then be issued as a refund to be used for educational expenses. Refunds are processed by Student Business Services (SBS).
