This online application system will be accessible 24 hours a day, every day, until 11:59 p.m. on the day before pre-registration for the next term(s) during fall or spring semesters, or the first Friday of the second summer term during the summer. After that time, students must submit a paper graduation application to the Office of the Registrar for the current term.
A non-refundable diploma fee of $47.50 is assessed for each graduation application submitted by students in all colleges EXCEPT, School of Dentistry, Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health (which are assessed a $100 graduation fee).
Students who are permitted to apply after the initial deadline (see academic calendar) will be charged an additional $50 late application fee per degree.
All students planning to graduate in Fall 2023 must apply for graduation online at https://howdy.tamu.edu beginning August 14, 2023, on the My Record tab. Graduation applications submitted after Friday, September 22, 2023, will be assessed a late fee EXCEPT School of Dentistry, Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health. The online application will be open through 11:59 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2023. Students who apply to graduate with a degree after this deadline must be enrolled in or have completed all degree requirements and must submit a paper graduation application to the Office of the Registrar. Any courses used for Fall 2023 degree clearance must be in-progress for the Fall 2023 term or completed in an earlier term. The final application deadline is Monday, December 4, 2023, for students who will complete requirements in the Fall semester.
Graduation applications will not be accepted after 5 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023. If you miss this deadline, you must apply for Spring 2024 graduation.
Per Student Rule 14.2, degree candidates must be enrolled in or have completed all degree requirements by 5 p.m. November 15, 2023, either in residence at Texas A&M University or at another college or university. Degree Requirement Verification in courses at other institutions must be provided to the Degree Audit Office by November 15, 2023, to graduate in Fall 2023.
Students requesting a name change for graduation related purposes must complete a name change request before November 15, 2023,for the change to be reflected in the commencement program. Students have until December 13, 2023, to submit a name change to be reflected on the diploma.
Students who have fiscal holds with Student Business Services (SBS) will not receive their diplomas until those holds are cleared. To clear a fiscal hold, please contact SBS at email@example.com. Once the hold is cleared, the student can email firstname.lastname@example.org requesting that the diploma be released.
Students planning to graduate in Spring 2024 may begin filing applications for degrees on December 18, 2023. The filing deadline for students completing degree requirements during the Spring 2024 term is February 16, 2024.
Attendance at the graduation ceremony is based on the information included in your graduation application. Degree candidates who would like to change their attendance for graduation may send an email to email@example.com from their official TAMU email account.
