2020 Historical Grading
Spring 2020 grade policy adjusted for the term to support academic efforts during global pandemic.
- Grades of F and/or U from the Spring 2020 are excluded from GPA calculations.
- Undergraduate and Graduate students were provided the option to select S/U grading in lieu of letter grades (A,B,C,D,F).
- Q-drops after Spring Break 2020 were exempt from State drop limit and reflect as a W grade instead of a Q.
- Additional Information
- Instructors did not have to determine if a student had elected S/U grading before entering final grades.
- Instructors were encouraged to submit letter grades for all students if the course was normally letter graded.
- Before final grades were posted, an automated process converted letter grades to an appropriate S/U grade if the student elected S/U grading.
- For those classes where the S/U grading was normally used, instructors were able to enter S/U grades as usual.
The five passing grades at the undergraduate level are, A, B, C, D and S (see
Texas A&M University Student Rule 10.3). Passing grades for graduate students are A, B, C, and S (see
